‘When there was group discussion, back and forth, in the best possible way, the initial exercise question gets lost!’

40% answered; The tutors transparency in their positionality presentations.

60% answered; Their personal self-realization within the informal discussion.

‘When Luna shared her experience of her ethnic influence she was vulnerable, and this inspired me to share in the discussion too. Also Nick saying you need to not care what people think in terms of sharing your thoughts’.

20% answered; finding out the background of the tutors (positionality presentation)

80% answered; these answers were varied below are some of the responses;

  • Realizing synergies in how our generation share feelings of outsiders in the popular status quo, ‘imposter syndrome’.
  • The realization that I’m not alone in my thoughts.
  • Personal resolutions about exploring how my background/social class has had an impact on my progression and decision making.

Q6- Do you think making space for sessions like this would be beneficial for your ongoing project work? if your answers yes, why?

‘I find these sessions useful/beneficial as it’s now made me think more about my work/practice. I think about it in a new way which makes it more personal and explains my choices etc. I do think it’s beneficial to become more connected and mindful with are work’.
